I want a C7...

The sad lament of us middle-class Jalops everywhere.

You aren’t 60, you aren’t allowed to have one.

Isn’t the ‘Vette all about being available to the middle-class? Isn’t it one of the cheapest power deals you can get worldwide?
I’m sorry you can’t afford one, but you can hardly blame the car for being too expensive!

I don’t recall blaming any inanimate object for anything. Where did you read this?

Grand Sports are cool...

Yah but most middle classers still can't afford a $60k car. It's close but still out of reach!

How do you know?
![]() 06/08/2016 at 21:31 |

Because you aren’t.

Good point. I twisted that a bit didn’t I

Damn shame. They should make a cheaper version that’s all engine and nothing else. Really cut the costs down. Shit wheels, shit tyres, shit suspension, shit interior. Purchase price of $30k.
People would laugh at it and laugh at its owners. And the owners would be laughing for entirely different reasons.

You have expensive taste in cars
![]() 06/08/2016 at 22:48 |

Yeah, same and for similar reasons. Need more education. Need more job with more salary.

Coworker’s husband just bought one as a retirement present to himself (incoming potato pic)

The Camaro...you just described the camaro

Well that’s pretty awesome.
I’m sorry I’m not an American. Where I live your options for cheap power are:
1. Commodore
That’s it.

I’m getting close...but not quite there

Or am I?

No Jayhawk, you aren’t.

When you get there, let me know how you did it. Haha.

Lots of work, two degrees, and time.

Asking prices for early C7s have reached the mid-40s, meaning you can have one for that or even less.
I’m guessing a sharp buyer will be able to get a 2014 below $40k by next year.

That’s what I’m counting on. In a few years I’m turning 30, I’d love to get one as a gift to myself.

It’s lunch time, so I’ll be that guy: Does your current job, Hooker, pay well?
![]() 06/09/2016 at 16:26 |

Every once in a while I get this question. No, sadly, it doesn’t. But it’s likely more to do with the fact that I am a Hooker that works at Gaye Chevrolet. Do with that how you will. :)

Maybe C5 and work your way up?
There are some killer examples out there if you look. I would try to budget in a seat replacement though for something more aggressively bolstered. These had super flat seats imo. Still looks great to me though, ~17 years later.
